Senior Associate - Corporate Law
We are seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join our Corporate Law practice. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in M&A, corporate advisory, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructuring
- Draft and review commercial agreements, shareholder agreements, and corporate documents
- Conduct legal due diligence for transactions
- Ensure regulatory compliance with Companies Act and SEBI regulations
- Mentor junior associates and manage client relationships
- Appear before regulatory authorities as required
Requirements:
- LL.B. from a recognized university with minimum 5-7 years of corporate law experience
- Strong knowledge of Companies Act, SEBI regulations, and corporate laws
- Experience in handling M&A transactions and corporate advisory
- Excellent drafting, research, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple matters
- Registration with Bar Council is mandatory
Legal Researcher
HRU Legal is looking for a Legal Researcher to support our litigation and advisory teams with in-depth legal research, case analysis, and knowledge management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive legal research on various practice areas
- Prepare research memoranda, case summaries, and legal opinions
- Track legal developments, judgments, and regulatory changes
- Maintain firm knowledge management database
- Assist attorneys in case preparation and legal strategy
- Prepare articles and publications for firm thought leadership
Requirements:
- LL.B. or LL.M. from a reputed institution with strong academic record
- 1-3 years of legal research experience (law firm or corporate)
- Proficiency in legal databases (SCC Online, Manupatra, etc.)
- Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
- Knowledge of multiple practice areas is preferred
Legal Intern
HRU Legal offers comprehensive internship opportunities for law students to gain practical experience across various practice areas. Interns work closely with senior lawyers on real matters and develop essential legal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist lawyers in legal research and drafting
- Prepare case summaries, legal memoranda, and research notes
- Attend court hearings and client meetings (subject to approval)
- Draft legal documents under supervision
- Participate in firm learning sessions and workshops
- Support administrative and documentation tasks
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing 3-year or 5-year LL.B. course (2nd year onwards)
- Strong academic record with keen interest in corporate and commercial law
- Good research and writing skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and legal research tools
- Minimum internship duration: 4 weeks
- Commitment to learning and professional development
